Title: archery instructors
Post by: buckeye_hunter on February 22, 2007, 09:46:00 AM
I live in central ohio(Columbus/Pickerington). I was wondering if anyone knew of any archery instructors that are located in this area.  I have looked online and in the phone book, but  haven't located any.
Thanks,
Charlie

No, but I recommend taking some lessons from Ricky Welch.  Go to  www.dakotabows.com. (http://www.dakotabows.com.)   I wish I had done so years ago.  He is an excellent teacher, and it is very affordable/borderline cheap to take lessons from him.

I believe David Miller is in Lebanon Indiana. I have not attended, just providing information.

Buckeye--come to an ITBA shoot. Preferably our two-day event. You will learn more in a day than you will in a year by yourself.
Watch Ron Nixe, Billy, or Steve Redden shoot....

You might want to check out some of OSTA's shoots. (Ohio Society of Traditional Archers). Some of the best shooters around come to there shoots and most are happy to help people out.

Go to the NAA website (www.usarchery.org). They list all the level 3 and level 4 coaches by state. There are several located throughout Ohio.
