Title: Form question (string hitting tee shirt sleeve)

I keep having a problem with my bowstring hitting my bow arm shirt sleeve or even my bow arm shoulder.  I think I rotate my shoulder to the inside on occasion.  I can't seem to fix this problem. Anybody else had this problem?   Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Keep your bow more vertical if the string is hitting you above your elbow.

Todd he said his shoulder not elbow.  I had to do a double read myself.

Hitting your shirt sleeve happens to many if it's loose, but if your hitting your bowarm "shoulder", sounds like to are over extending you bowarm out so far your pushing you shoulder into the line of your draw and maybe the bow may be too heavey causing you to push out that far.
Bow arm should be slightly bent and bow canted (on an angle say for right handed at say about 10 O'clock) where hitting your shoulder should never happen. Would love to have ta post a picture.

Thanks guys,  maybe I should try to keep my bow arm bent a little more as you say.  I don't think I'm overbowed as I can shoot comfortably from most positions.  I've been trying to establish a longer draw...more backtension and a more solid anchor... but am running into this problem.  I know these are different things but they all relate.  I'll try to work on one thing at a time.  Sorry no pics at this time.

All summer long I shoot my bow with sleevless shirts for the same reason. When hunting in cooler climates I find long sleeves that are tight fitting in the arm. Cabelas also sells a compression sleeve for archers. It's made out of really light camoed stretch material and it comes up to your elbow $6.00 and works great for hunting.

I just went out and tried to hit my shirtsleeve with my bowstring, I even went as far as to put on a shirt that was 3 sizes too big and couldn't hit it.
 I am gonna have to go with what Kingstaken said here, maybe try a lighter bow?

I went out tonight and shot with a little more bend in my bow arm and rotated my hand to the inside and didn't have any more problem.  I think I'll get me a compression sleeve if I come across one though.  I'd hate to take a shot at a deer and see the arrow fall 2 feet low because of string clearance problems.  Thanks again guys.
