Title: Three under tiller
Post by: bowhntrct on April 09, 2007, 10:19:00 PM
If a bow is tillered for three under how would it effect it shooting split finger? Would you have severe finger pinch?

Hi,
It can be a little noiser.
Finger pinch depends on bow lenght and design.

Most bowyers tiller their bows for split at 1/8 to 3/16 positive and an even tiller for three under. It shouldn't have any effect on finger pinch. But you can shoot a bow tillered for split to  shoot it three under by playing with your nock height adjustment. As beleg says finger pinch depends on bow length and design and your draw length.

No, it will not cause finger pinch. You may have to move your nock point around a little, but that's about it.
