I would just like to thank the makers of the video "Masters of the Bare Bow". It was worth every penny. I was feeling pretty crappy(for lack of a better word) about my shooting lately and picked up a couple of hints from the video.
From Dale Karch I got touching my thumb to my shoulder after the shot. This really helped me with my follow through.
From Mr. Quidort I got a better grip with more pressure on bone structure than muscle.
From Mr. Wensel I worked on the set arm draw method. I was using a semi-draw method, but trying it with more of a set seems to have helped.
I've watched it about 3 times now and it's really well made. Can't wait for #2 to come out!

I agree, it's a great video. I think I picked up a little something from everyone on it. Especially though, Rod's explanation of his gap system is one of the best I've een thus far. And Daryl's moose footage? Talk about getting your heart pounding. It makes me want to head back to Canada again.

I also think it's terrific. I picked up alot of helpful tips from it. :archer:

I hate that stupid video. Every time I watch it I just want to shoot and shoot some more. Then my back aches for days. Then I watch it again and here I go again.
Best DVD I ever bought.

Thanks guys!
I think it's neat that all the shooters and sponsors made the project possible. I hope it is still around when we are all gone. We have some awesome footage for volume 2 coming up.
Did I mention my wife and I both killed much larger turkeys than LaClair this spring? :) :knothead:

Can't wait for volume II. By playing the shot sequence on slow motion I have been able to really isolate what makes a good shot sequence. I showed a montage of the video sequences to a friend who couldn't seem to accept what I was trying to tell him until he saw it in scene after scene on the video. Although he still will not dance around the campfire.

Volume II?! When's it coming out? I've watched volume 1 too many times already! Actually I really do get something more from Volume 1 each time I watch it. I think it's a great video and I really like the idea of showing a wide variety of shooting styles within one video.
