anybody have any secrets?assuming you place the rest directly over the deepest part of the grip.how high off the shelf?how about nockpoint above 90?

Years ago I played with an elevated rest briefly, on a recurve. I liked it down as low as possible to the shelf keeping the arrow close to my hand. And yes, above the deep part of the grip. As I remember the nock at 3/8" above square, with arrow nocked under, gave me excellent flight with a feathered arrow. I've never tried vanes.
