What # bow do most shoot for 3D shoots?

I have one bow that I shoot for every thing and it's a 62# @ 28" recurve

There are as many responses as bow hunters/shooters.
But 3D and hunting are very different things.
I think that for 3D you need a bow you can draw as long you want without fatigue ( generally between 45 and 50 # )
In one session you must be able to shoot the 100th arrow as you shoot the first . Hunting is a bit different : you can hold an heavier bow you only shoot half a dozen time in a season
( if you’re lucky )
There are fantastic trad.bow you can use with light carbon arrows FF string and have very flat trajectories witch are perfect for 3D and give you the best of new technologies without sacrificing to the traditionalism.
That what I do and this give me fun, best result, and a lot of pleasure in 3D.
When comes hunting I switch for heavier and very quite bow, heavy wooden arrows, Dacron or FF string: I never shoot over 18/20 meters and I can’t imagine hunting a different way .
4X4 and F1 are cars but not for same use … :campfire:

Depends on the shooter. I've seen everything from guys shoot hunting weight arrows and high poundage bows to 35-40 lbs bows with very light arrows. Personally, I try to stick with what I hunt with.

I sometimes think that people worry to much about weight. I shoot 3ds with what I hunt with and what I hunt with can be shot for hours without fatigue. Use what you are comfortable with.

I'm with Pete....
I use one Bow for 3D and Hunting, the only thing I change is the field tip to a Broadhead....
