Anyone out there shooting with just one eye? I recently had a corneal transplant and the vision in my right eye is very limited and blury. Of course I am right handed and am having a very tough time being consistant much past 15 yards. (Before the vision problem I was pretty good out to about 25 yards) I find it very hard to focus on the target with just one eye. Anyone out there have any advice or tricks for this condition?
Thanks

Sorry for your situation, woodslinger. I'm RH and right-eye dominant but very 'sight-challenged' in my left eye, which affects judging detail close or far. My condition isn't nearly the challenge as yours, but I do know at least one person (instinctive shooter) who was RH/right eye dominant and had to learn to shoot LH due to injury. He's not naturally ambidextrous. Now, he can shoot VERY well EITHER side. Somehow he was able to learn 'left side form' and restructure his sight picture to compensate for the eye change...without affecting his RH shooting once he healed. Dang, sometimes its amazing what can be done if a person is cant-tankerous enough.
Maybe someone else who has your same situation can offer some hands-on feedback. But please let us know how things go...I'll bet where there's a will there's a way. Hang in there.

I have very limited vision with my right eye due to a retinal detachment may years ago. My vision is extremely blurred and distorted (a straight line doesn't appear straight). I cannot read the words on this screen from ~12 inches through my right eye. Fortunately, I am LH and left-eye dominant.
Even your limited vision is much better than nothing. While your right eye may not help much with seeing detail, it is still very useful for things such as depth perception.
I would keep working at it. Shoot with both eyes open to help with depth perception. Over time you will find that your shooting will improve as you adjust to your handicap.
