Title: Arrow Tuning

I'm shooting 53# @ 28". My current arrow is a GT 5575 that weighs 399 grains with all the trimmings. I'd like to get into suggested 8-10 gr/# range.

Should I try to add more weight to the existing arrow set up (INSERTS) or bump up to next GT 7595 and start to rebuild from there?

Adding more weight  with weight tubes should not increase the spine, I think the 7595 would be too stiff.

I think your right. I did some more research and the 7595 would be above my needs. I'm looking at the Carbon Express in the same class as the GT 5575 only more grains per inch. It's really confusing. I can see the need for more weight and just trying to get as much as I can before adding inserts and adapters. I know little about them and no trad shops nearby. Learning as I go.

Are these arrows well-tuned to your set-up?  If they are perfectly dialed in, I'd suggest weight tubes.  If they are still a bit stiff, add point weight and you will accomplish two objectives...a more forgiving arrow and a heavier one.

They are not well tuned or poorly for that matter. I am starting to realize that no matter how much I practice and how well I shoot, I owe it to myslef to have my arrows tuned as best i possibly can . I spent a fair amount of time learning how to tune my bow and now it's time t get the arrow squared away. It's also "time" to buy more arrows and so I want to start with the best possible scenario and tune from there.
