the problem i have is i shoot around 100 arrows a day at a target in my back yard. i get very bad groups. but when i go stump shooting or just shoot one arrow a day, i hit right where i am aiming. what gives?

your shooting to much :bigsmyl:

How heavy a bow are you shooting and how long have you been shooting? Hap

I agree with TexMex, you are probably shooting too much. I've talked to Byron Ferguson about this, he usually only shoots one arrow, then walks to the target and pulls it, then walks back and shoots again. I think when you shoot a lot back to back you lose focus.

Seems like you are losing your focus shooting groups. Stump shooting you usually shoot one arrow at a stump, leaf, dirt spot... so you know you have to make it count. Try marking spots on your target and shooting one arrow at each spot. This should help your focus.
