I have been struggling lately with very inconsistent groups  Today while shooting in my basement I realized that I was opening my mouth as I was drawing and coming to anchor. I started to make sure I kept my mouth closed and came back to my anchor (middle finger in corner of mouth and thumb around jaw bone)
Wow! that sure helped my groups! I'm still pretty new to this.....but things are really starting to come together and I'm having fun!

Good point...a corner of mouth anchor should include a solid "touch point" on an upper tooth.....mouth movement doesn't affect an anchor based on the upper part of the mouth.

Rod, I'll have to work on trying to find an anchor on a tooth as you suggest. Or possibly the hole from my missing eye tooth.
Thanks, Kevin

Kevin,
If possible, the 'anchor' should be the web of the thumb/index wrapped around the back of the jaw, with the tooth as a secondary 'touch' point.
Keep the mouth closed but teeth not clenched.

I've almost always fare better when I keep my mouth shut! :biglaugh: LOL Frank
