Title: Anchor question when shooting with a tab
Post by: GMMAT on March 21, 2009, 08:09:00 PM
I've always shot 3-under....and have recently switched to a tab.

My question is.....do I put the tab on my finger with my middle finger (the one I use to anchor with in the corner of my mouth)....Am I to assume it needs to stick out a little past the end of the tab?  Otherwise, I'm having trouble finding my solid anchor.

If this is a dumb question....consider the source!

(thanks)

Jeff

Jeff, just wear it like you would if shooting split. Middle finger through the loop. ok for the finger to stick out a little as long as it's not hurting your fingers. Yes you can feel a more positive anchor like that. DB

Thanks.  I never shot with a tab, before yesterday.  I like it, but was a little unsure.

Thanks, DB.

I will trim a new tab down so the end is half way between the end of my finger and the first joint when my hand is extended, when you pick up the string and curl your fingers it covers them. If I leave it longer the release is noisier. So yes the fingers stick out a little further than the end of the tab as batman mentioned.
