First time on the forum. I'm coming over to the traditional side after 20 years with a compound. I ordered a 62" take-down recurve kit from Bingham Archery and have pretty much completed it. I am pulling 58 lbs at a 29 in. draw. ( I might reduce that to 55 lbs) I was wanting to shoot a 550 grain finished arrow as everyone says to shoot 10 grains per pound of pull. What spine should I start out with in a carbon arrow? I had thought about shooting Gold Tips or Carbon Express. I might shoot another brand if someone has some good suggestions. What do you recommend?

If you want to try Gold Tips, I would recommend 5575. For the 58# bow, you could try a 145 grain point (or 150 grain broadhead), 2 20 grain weights in front, and 2 20 grain weights in back. This would bring your total arrow weight up to about 562 grains.
If you reduce the weight to 55#, you could drop off one or both of the 20 grain weights in back.
