Ok. I'm just getting started and love my new recurve. Before I had my own arrows I was shooting the guys arrows at the range. They were longer and thinner but I was good! So I go get my own arrows and I'm doing ok. But every so often I get this wierd arrow flight. Like it's curving from my bow. It's even sticking at an angle in the target. I know there is no magic stance, but if you guys can thow out some suggestions I'll have some one look to see if I'm doing ---- ?

did you have the arrows tuned to your bow? if not you should get the arrows that your bow likes .if the spine is to weak or to stiff it will not fly correctly or if your nocking point is off that could be a problem too.

Since it is only happening sometimes it could be a poor release. A release problem called "plucking" will do it. Also, how large is the fletching and are they feathers? If you got some arrows with 3" fletch or plastic vanes instead of feathers this could cause the problem.

I got the arrows from the same dealer they all recommended. They are feathers. I started with two fingers but switched to 3 to save on finger soreness. Now I think that may b it. I'm heading out tonight so I'll let you know if I can find some stability.

have you just recently started shooting traditional? If you've been doing it for a while ignore my reply. When I first started my dad told me not to get overly worried about tuning until I consistently had the same thing happening. Once I became consistent it was clear to me that my arrows were a bit weak and then it was worth spending the money to buy new arrows and tune them in. Until your form is consistent you will just get pissed off trying to tune arrows. IMHO...
