Title: Who uses sights on their bows... hunting and other?
Post by: nightowl1 on August 31, 2009, 11:02:00 AM
I am just curious as to what company I am in. I was dealing with some severe target panic and ended up tieing a feather to my riser and securing it with barge cement for a good sight. It was a great help, and now i just kind of like it.

So who else has a sight on their bow and can you post a pic?

No sights here just instinctive. Have you tried a clicker for your target ***** problem?  No better feeling then releasing an arrow using just your natural ability.  Remember most of it is mental and your mind is a powerfull thing.  Try shooting some blank bales with your eyes closed to get comfortable getting to full draw.  That is if you want to go insinctive.
Remember archery is about enjoyment and sights are ok, but never hesitate to challenge your ability.

I taped a wooden match to my bow to tune it and it help my grouping alot but after I just removed it. I say if you like it keep it, I think its kinda cool to use a self made sight it's still traditional IMO

If you are fighting target panic I would say anything you can do including using sights is recommended to overcome it.  I've never suffered from it but have seen its affect on others.
