Anybody practice with bare shafts. I was working on some fine tuning today and then got to thinkin'
The bare shafts amplify my mistakes. When i release right and everything else is right they group tight with the fletched arrows. If not they react based on the form error i've made.
I think i may try just shooting a bare shafted arrow for a while and see if it helps. Anybody else ever try this?

I keep a bare shaft in my quiver for just that purpose, helps me diagnose the problem when having one of those "off" days.

I've kept my three bareshafts for that purpose as well. Didn't realise how bad my form was until i started bareshafting. Not sure how much was tuning to start with and how much was me as i only just started shooting again after 6 months injury, but as i've been using the bareshafts and tuning as well i've been able to identify form issues much easier with the bareshafts so i'm definitely keeping them in my quiver.
