I am newly back to trad archery after about 10 years gone due to a minor non archery related shoulder injury. My old recurve hurt my shoulder after the injury, but a lighter one I was recently able to get doesn't hurt to draw. However, trying to shoot the heavier bow when it hurt has caused me to develop several form problems I need to overcome and change. I know I need to use my back muscles more than I have, so I am wondering if the formmaster, or something like it, would be really helpful? I am very budget limited right now due to a family health issue, so any suggestions are appreciated.

Here is the link to a thread from last year about making a Formaster.
I have a bunch of them for only a few dollars.
Good luck!

Darn, I ordered one this morning from 3 rivers for $39.95. I'm PO'd after seeing this thread.

I actually stopped by 3Rivers on the way to Kalamazoo back in January. The Formaster was one of the things I looked at.I just couldnt bring myself to spend $39.99 on one of those once I saw it.I think that is a set price by the way regardless where you get it.I found the tutorial here this morning and decided to make one.The hardest thing I had to do was track down the grommets.I already had the 1 inch wide webbing and the cord.Wal-mart only had the grommets in .375 inch size which I thought was too big.The same size at Lowes. The ones at Walmart were almost $4 for a pack of about 8 as I recall. At Lowes more were in the pack but they were between $8 and $9.On a whim I stopped by Tractor Supply and they had a 1/4 inch size.$0.49 each in their own little bag so I bought 3 of the grommets, came home and made the Formaster.Very simple to make.I have tried it out a little bit but will do more when I have more time.
