Title: First time practice shots from stand
Post by: woodsman 365 on April 26, 2010, 05:48:00 PM
I went to my bear stand to take a few practice shots. At first it felt a little off but got better as time went on. It helped to have someone watching me shoot because he had me working on getting full extention, canting my bow a little more and holding a little longer. After about 40 shots, my shooting was much better.

Just remember to bend at the waist when shooting from a stand.

Thanks. During my compound days I would draw my bow, anchor and bend at the waist until my pin was on target. With my recurve I need to bend until my shoulders are lined up with my target. Then draw my bow remembering to do everything needed to make a perfect shot. Much more difficult!!! I guess thats what makes it so much fun. >>>> RAY
