I was wondering what nock height you guys use for shooting three under, and with just a rug rest. I just use a piece of velcro for by rest plate. Does 1/2" seem to high. I shoot my bare shaft at 20 yards they go right where I'm aiming Just a little nock left. I just gotta trim them down a little and try again.

If you're getting good bare shaft flight, that's your answer. Most folks use a higher nock point for 3 under than 1/2". I nock the arrow under the nock point, and my bows tend to need a nocking point between 5/8" and 3/4", depending on the results of bare shaft testing.
If you find your arrows hitting higher than you're looking, feel free to move the nock point up a little, as that will cause your point of impact to move down. You generally have more room to move the nock point up than down before you get erratic arrow flight.

what McDave said.I have 35 bows and shoot 3 under,all between 5/8 and 3/4

Like McDave said......."If you're getting good bare shaft flight". I seem to be in the minority, but my nock point on all my bows are 1/2 inch.......and some even less. I shoot three-under and I think it has to do with your specific release.

All of my bows are set at 1/2 to 5/8 except for a Breeding T/D recurve. It is set at flush or 90 degrees. Makes no sense to me but the arrows come off like a guided missle.

McDave is all over this one. What he said was what I was thinking and applies to my setup.
