How difficult is it to transition to three under Thanks
-
...takes a little time...here are a couple of points...
1-go all the way....re tune your bow and shoot it solid for about two weeks and do not try to bounce back and forth or you will never get any kind of consistancy.
2-retune your bow...you will prob need to raise your nock point a 1/4 inch or so and maybe change brace height. Shouldnt need to change arrows (but you might)and I have never noticed any real difference in bows tillered one way or another (18 yrs and a few dz bows).
3-noise..some say its louder but I think its "sharper/higher pitched" maybe? (like 12 ga vs 30/06). Either way its right next to your ear so you do notice a difference but once the bow is tuned anyone 5 feet away usually say its about like any other stickbow when shot, some just louder than others.
I changed because I got much smaller groups right of the bat...your milage may vary....good luck!

Like hvyhitter, I would suggest you give it a chance for a week if you are serious about changing.
Shooting at the blind bale, will help you become used to the feeling of the shot a little quicker.
Took me about 2 weeks to get really dialed in with three under.
Your anchor might change, mine did, Move your anchor around on your face with your eyes closed until you find the spot that is most comfortable for your hold and gives you the best back tension.

I have tried to shoot 3 under a couple of different times and it just did'nt feel right, though I can see where the advantages of shooting this style for some lie. It has to feel right for me to do it, thus I did not proceed and actually try to make the switch...maybe one day I will give it a go for a week or 2 and see what happens...

i switched and love it moved nock point up to 3/4 and about a week of shooting was used to it same arrows nothing elys changed good luck

I tried it once and just couldn't find a comfortable place to anchor. I think it is just from being used to split finger and my anchor for that.

Personally I can't tell a difference. The only reason I like it is because it brings my point on at 20ish yards.
