I continue to work on form. See what you think. I can see that I am somewhat releasing the string. I think it can be much better. I bought a form tool. I think I'll spend some time with it.

Link is not good... for me anyway.

The release, as you know, is THE most difficult thing to master. There are some release inconsistencies in your video...your elbow comes back further and your fingers fling out more at certain times than others. I can't see where your arrows are hitting, though, so maybe these inconsistencies minor. The rest of your form looks solid!

Jimmy...slow down!!! give yourself at least 45 seconds between shots to think about the last shot and for the muscles to recover. With the muscles fresh it becomes easier to learn to isolate the Rhomboids and to activate them on demand.
BTW your alignment looks much improved since the last video.

Looks like very solid form. From time to time it seems like you are maybe plucking the string a bit but it may just be your shooting style.
I would ask if your follow-thru is contrived or natural. What I mean is, does your arm just go all the way back like that as a result of the release or are you consciously doing that? If it is contrived that is not a bad thing. It helps remind one to keep good back tension. I am just curious.
If it is, then I think once this becomes natural for you the plucking may very well disappear.
Then again, maybe I am just wrong. I don't claim to be an expert.

Excellent video........Ranger B !!!!
I noticed the Cavelier Elite tab, I love the release that I get with mine, but I can't keep the string off my face when using it. I had to go back to a glove.
Dang........I miss that "clean" release.

Rod - will do.
Mitch - It only started happening when I began shooting a lot of blind bale. It seemed natural as I tried to focus on release. Since then I've noticed a few things. When I am in the back (where the video was filmed) my release is quite consistent like that. I can shoot out to 22 yards back there and my form remains fairly consistent. When I go to the range I seem to do it consistent on short shots but I catch myself not following through on longer shots. So if I go to the 50 yard lane and practice gap shooting I tend to stop upon release. I'm not entirely sure why that is. My arrow flight still seems pretty good so I think I am getting a clean release but the follow through stops. Now the really interesting observation. When this first happened to me I began trying to fix it on the spot so I tried paying attention to my from and I began to flinch. I immediately thought of Rod's analogy of the guy in the front seat checking on the guy in the back seat. I was trying to aim for the gap shot and also check on the guy in charge of my form. Fortunately, I noticed what was happening so I immediately stopped and went over to the 10 yard lane and went back to blind bale to work on form. I still don't have it completely fixed but I seem to be getting more and more rounds that have solid shots vs. one every now and then.
Winterhawk - yes, I like the cavalier. I've shot the solid leather tabs, calfhair tabs, Soma tab and in the end I like the Cavalier the best.

Then I would imagine the plucks (or what look like plucks to me) will likely go away when this follow-thru becomes completely natural and consistent at all distances.
I agree with your analysis. Perhaps the shorter follow-thru on longer shots IS the result of concentrating more on the gap. You can't concentrate on two things at once. That is, of course, why we practice form so much. So that we don't have to concentrate on form and can concentrate on arrow placement.

What i soo from video:
-You could pull one more inch
-I dont think that you use your back muculature for pulling that bow. How i see that: you force your hand to jump back. If you would use your back your hand would not go so far back so fast...
-You should not shoot so fast. Build your form with range of 2 meters or "9 feet". You should not be considered where you hit when you are working on form. And try to use only one arrow. After shoot go and pick it up "Think in between what you did wrong and what you did correct"
-It allso helps to close your eyes.
First hand looks fine! Nice progress! And great video!

Thanks guys. I have made these videos and aired my dirt for one reason. I just want to shoot well. It's great to get feedback from so many. I am shooting a 3D shoot in the morning and then back to form. Sincerely, thanks again for your feedback.
