I shoot a 55lb. hoyt gamemaster 2, nap flipper rest, Carbon heritage 150 28 1/4 inches, 50 grain brass insert and 125 point. My draw is around 26. My question is about bareshafting and future broadhead shooting. My bareshafts were shooting 6-8 inches weak/right slightly low at 20 yards. I moved my rest out from riser and the bareshafts are still shooting slighty weak; however my fletch shafts are flying great the best I ever shot. Do you think I should cut a half inch or so to stiffen them up or just shoot the broadheads the way it is. Thanks

Does moving the rest to the left (away from the riser, as you said) make an arrow show weaker or stiffer?
I have a similar problem, but I am just on the other side - shooting 250's and they group left (too stiff)
Some places I see that if your arrows are grouping left, you move the strike plate AWAY from the riser, or make it thicker, and then some places say make it thinner, or move it TOWARD the riser. Adcock says both things in the same paragraph if you read it carefully.

If they're hitting where you want, why mess with them? Do they have wobbly flight? Remember that your shafts need to be slightly weak before youfletch them because when you fletch you're going to add weight to the rear of the arrow which, in turn, makes them slightly stiffer.

MRJSL, If you move the rest closer to the riser it will make your stiffer arrow weaker you could also add 50 or better yet 100 grain brass inserts and that will help weaken them also. The more weight up front will make them weaker and help increase your foc. I was considering cutting mine to add more weight up front but the are flying to good. And like Buckeye Trad Hunter said why mess with them. I think I will wait to see how the broadheads fly before I do anything. Thanks for all your input. Bigd33

Thanks big D I guess I misunderstood that part.
Right now I have a leather plate with velcro on top of it. I just broke in a new string and with nothing but brush buttons installed. At 29.5" and with 50 gr. inserts and 175gr points. Bareshafts group left. Full length shafts the rigged the same group right (weak). But I have lots of room to maneuver with point weight and shelf plate thickness, etc... I cannot continue till my hushpuppies for this string come in. They will affect tune as well. I have some different weight points on order as well.
