When drawing back the string how do You hold it?
Pick the one You use the most..
-
I picked Split but been bale working doing Flemish and doing pretty good with it. I might even use that as My main drawing style..
-
Split finger just feels more natural to me. Jason
-
Split for me,it just looks more traditional to me!
-
3 under
-
Split finger
-
3 Under. I feel like the arrow is a million miles away with split finger and I dont like it between my finger. 3 under feels more natural IMO, but split-finger does seem quieter.
-
3 under. I switched from split a few years ago. I may change back some time.
-
Split again......tried 3 under for several weeks about a month ago after reading all the threads here. Just not natural to me after shooting split since I was 10....won't say how long ago that was.
-
started 3 under and stayed.
-
Split.
Been using 3 under the past year or two. Been trying to get back in the hang or split. Now split seems as foreign to me as 3 under once did.
-
Hmmm, sort of surprising results so far. I figured more people shot 3 under.
-
3 under with a deep hook on the middle finger!
-
3 under. String almost equally between joint and tip of fingers.
-
Three shooters in my house, two split one three under.
-
3 finger for me, but do miss shooting split on occasion.
-

 :dunno:
Whatever. I voted 3 under. Just as traditional as split.
-
Two under, third finger just never felt right on the string so I quit using it.
-
Three under.
-
split
-
Three under. For me its about accuracy. I Mostly gap shoot and it only makes sense to have the arrow as close to my eye as possible and minimize the gap at hunting distances.

Me as well!
-
I tried three under but my bow was so much noisier that I went back to split.
-
I'm surprised how many 3-under shooters there are. Must be gaining in popularity.
I'm a 3-split man meself ("Mediterranean Grip" or "Med. Draw" we used to call it).
-
I shoot split but when I read about the Flemish style in TBM I tried it and have had some good results with it.

3 under, its easier for me to get real solid anchor that way.... DB
-
love the 3 under with my anchor it feels much better for me
-
Two under for me, that 3rd finger caused fliers for me occasionally,so i tried just the two and everything fell into place.
-
With my fingers. I tried my toes but it was very difficult to aim
-
Seriously now i shoot three under
-
Slit fingers, tried three under. My bows seem to make a lot more noise, with three under.
-
split finger
-
I picked split finger but I am in the early stages of switching to 3 under. I am more accurate with 3 under but was taught split so I am conflicted right now.
-
Split finger for me, I sometimes pinch the arrow and tried 3 under but makes the bow a lot noisier so I'm keeping split and paying more attention to keep my fingers away from the nock.
-
I'm using split fingers as well. I find it easier to keep control of my arrowat rest on the shelf before I draw.
-
Shot split finger for years. Switched to 3 under in 2006 and have not looked back. Took some getting used too...but I shoot better this way.
-
Been shooting split fingers for 40plus years, no need to change a good thing!
-
I started split n changed to 3 under. It works better for me.Gonna try it with my thumb as soon as I find a thumb ring.Just for the heck of it
-
Split finger for a long time. I have tried 3 and 2 under, and have yet to learn the nuances between them.
-
Started split 30 some yrs ago. went to 3 under for awhile back in the eighties and did pretty well with it, but went back to split. Once in a while I will shoot a few shots 3 under but have found like others that the bow seems a little more noisy when shooting 3 under.
-
Split, tried 3 under but felt my bow "jumped" at the shot and sounded louder to me. I also shoot my board bow split, tillered it that way.
-Jeremy :coffee:
-
Split. Here split is an obligation in 3D and 2D sports shoots with trad- bows. Then, if you practice both (hunt and archery): split, split, split
-
Switched to 3 under a little over a year ago along with a cavalier cordovan tab, it was a little wierd at first, but now I luv it! DK.
-
Split finger
-
3 under for me. thats the way i started out.
-
3 Under at first joint, feel more in touch with arrow
-
Started out 3 under and went to split. I am more consistant with split finger.
-
2 fingers under. Index finger loose above, not touching the string.
-
I started with split but changed to 3 under half way through the year, I almost have a year in now in trad hunting, 3 under is more accurate for me.
-
split finger for years..tried three under,just don't feel right....john
-
i had never heard of 3 under until this site. i tried it and didn't like the feel. felt like the bow was tilted strange, so i'm sticking with split
-
3 under though I'll shoot split if its close/moving/ or if I have to cant the bow hard. At 15 yards or less it doesn't seem to matter much but over that 3 under is more consistent for me.
-
Split for me. Tried 3 under, but just didn't reel right, probably because I started out and learned with split.
-
Split finger right now. But I'm new and still trying find what works best for me.
-
3 under. hate split and 2 finger is uncomfortable to me
-
Split, tried 3 under and just didn't like it.
