After Christmas I was at cabelas and picked up a copy of Fred Asbell's Instinctive Shooting II I finished reading it this morning and would like to share it with anyone who would like to read it. If you would like it for a while let me know you are interested and PM me your address. I will make a list and the first person can read it then forward it to the next and so on. I guess you will have to be willing to pay postage to get the book to the next person if you want in. If this is not a good idea or innapropriate please speak up or mods feel free to remove post. Just thought it would be neat to share the book and see how far it would go and make it back to me in the end. Thanks

awesome "pay it forward" idea- we all need to do more of that.
put me on the list please.
would be nice if everyone signed the book- in chronological order- would make for a great keepsake in your golden years, just an idea, not being pushy.
regards

I would like to be added to the list as well, think this is a VERY kind gesture - and also think it would be very cool IF everyone was allowed to 'sign' the book as well - would make for a really nice keepsake I think!

Me too Macksdad and thank you for the kind gesture!

PM on its way. Thanks a ton.

I am pleased to be added to the list.
Happy new Year!

I just ordered a copy from his web site...would like to have it as a permanent addition to my library. Fred's wife said every book that is shipped get personally signed by Fred! Nice touch by him to do that!!!!!

Not sure if this the right post to ask in, but out of this series which book is the best for a beginning traditional archer?
I am looking to read as much as possible on traditional bow shooting.
-
Troutfisher, I only have his last book Advanced Instinctive shooting for bowhunting, so I can't compare to the others but I really enjoyed that one.
-
Would his teachings or techniques screw up a beginning Longbow (Hill) shooter ? I know he is a recurve guy I have one of his books. Thank you
-
I believe you could gain from Asbell's teachings/ books. He has been a study of the art of bowshooting far longer and with more insight than most of us. He is not an advocate from what I have read of a bent arm, which in "Hill style form" is one of the fundamentals.
-
I just finished reading it and it has a lot of stuff about shooting a hill style longbow as well. Very good informative book.
