i use two points (thumb knuckle behing angle of jaw and nose on feather) and sometimes it really doesnt feel consistent everytime.i know i got to have the same one everytime to hit consistently. i may consider trying a different method to anchor if its a little more comfortable. any suggestions? i shoot with a BW tab, if that matters..... thanks

I use the corner of my mouth for my anchor point. I also use a tab and shoot split finger.

I touch the index finger at the corner of the mouth and feel the base knuckle of the thumb behind my jawline. I shoot 3 under. It is immportant to keep the drawing hand relaxed. To do this the string should be hooked in the joints of the index and ring finger and the back of the hand should be flat. You can practice this by hooking three fingers in the handle of a 5-gallon bucket and hanging the arm at your side. YOu can practice "dropping the string" (the bucket).
The feather of the arrow won't touch my nose--my nose is about an 1/8" too short and I want to keep my head verticle. I could move the vanes toward the nock a bit but since I'm not used the feel of the vane touching the nose, it distracts me. And as you can tell from my "signature" I like to keep my mind from wandering.

You may want to consider getting G Fred Asbells book on instinctive shooting. He does a very good job of setting the foundation for form.

I like and recommend Byron Ferguson's book, "Become the Arrow". Very good shooting methods by the best there is.

I use a deep hook on my string. I shoot split fingers. My index finger goes aginst my jaw tooth, the next finger( middle)goes into the corner of my mouth, my thumb knuckle rest tight behind my jaw bone. This gives me a solid ancher that is consistant each and every shot. You need to experiment and find what is comfortable for you. Just make sure you use a good solid anchoring system against your face.( hand to bone) something that won't move from shot to shot. I don't think it matters weather you shoot split or 3 under just as long as it is comfortable and you find a solid nonmovable anchoring spot, that you can repeat for each and every shot.

For me, my main anchor is the middle finger in the corner of my mouth, with my thumb sticking straight up on the side of my face. The thumb seems to help me 'lock in'. I have trouble with a consistent anchor if I don't.
That being said, my Dad has tried the thumb-up thing and found it always made him shoot to the right.

My anchor is Middle finger in the corner of my mouth and the outward facing feather just touching the tip of my nose.
