Title: Hep me!

I just traded for a really nice selfbow.   :bigsmyl:   I have not shot a selfbow before.  every time I shoot it, the string slaps the back of my hand at the base of my thumb.  :banghead:    Is this normal or is my brace height too low?  I love the bow and will keep shooting it, might need to make some kind of pad or something.  What say yall?  thanks <>< del

You probably need to raise the brace height.
