Title: anchor point question
Post by: bowgy on January 12, 2012, 06:43:00 PM
I changed my anchor to my thumb knuckle under my ear on the jaw bone and I changed to a deep hook.  The hook seems to give me more control and the jaw is a good solid anchor .  My question is that I have noticed my string fingers can be in different positions a little more or less curved or a bit higher or lower on my face.  I have tried to find a way to have them the same every time and can't seem to. When I'm in what seems to be the perfect position the fingers just feel like pressure on my face I can't find tooth or any repeatable spot to make them the same every time. thanks

Keep shooting and keep searching you'll find an anchor point that will be the result of good alignment first, and produces good results.

It may take you 200 arrows to get it nailed down.....but that's the beauty of trad.  Everyone's facial features are different so you'll get a different answer from almost everyone here.  Find what works for you.
