Another great addition to your instructional videos Jimmy. I found a missing key.....a deep hook grip doesn't have to start with heavily curled fingers which kept tension in the back of my hand. Your advice to start with relaxed fingers just fixed a chronic issue.....Javi will be glad to hear this. Lol.

Ranger,
Very nicely done.

Great explanation, and great timing for me also. I've been working on the blind bale in the basement, (what else can we do in the dead of winter!), and noticed on video of myself that I cock my wrist prior to the draw, reaching anchor before my elbow comes all the way around, resulting in having to conciously engage the back to get aligned. Gonna try more of the "j" draw you described and see if it helps. Thanks for posting and keep 'em coming!

great video thanks for all the help

This will take some practice with the thumb...for me. Good as usual! Like your hat too. thanks
-
Very well done.

Enjoyed the video. I had not practiced the hand part of the release in a while as a stand alone.
-
Good video!

I've watched a few of your videos to help improve my form, this video in particular is really helping me to obtain the proper shoulder alignment and back tension, thanks!
-
You bet guys. That is what they are for - to help folks.

Wonderful explanation and demonstration.
Thank you!
-
Thanks for posting! I have been fighting some of these issues and it comes at a great time!
-
Thank you for taking the time to do these videos. They are a big help to alot of us.
-
Very informative, thanks Jimmy!!

Thank You, Thank You. What a great video. Really enjoyed watching you shoot. I struggle with hand tension....in fact I struggle with tension on everything. Just bearing down in the the key for archery. Works if you are an NFL lineman. This video will help me a lot. Between you and Moebow I will be a good shot someday.

More good information. Thanks for posting your videos, they are very helpful.
-
Sure do enjoy watching and learning from your videos.. Thanks for taking the time to do them.

Ranger B,
Have you considered placing your collection of quite useful video demos on one CD?
Consider me in line if you do.

Really helpful video jimmy, thanks for posting. I'd been waiting til the end of season to implement some of the tips moebow has in his rotational draw vid. By combining your input and his I have really been able to get into my back and off the string cleaner.
As per your observation when full expansion is reached as opposed to the 'slump' stance there is a lot of extra draw length to be had. A huge bonus for a guy as stumpy as me! Thanks once again.
-
Glad you guys are getting some use out of the videos. Let me know if I can help you out.
-

Very well done your video's have been a great help to me.

Good stuff Jimmy....I did a lot of talk about alignment on The Bowhunters of TradGang DVD, and bone on bone contact....the purpose is to get all of your energy going directly toward and away from the target....and your release and bow arm have no where to go.....and that negates wind-age issues.
Anytime you can explain this from a different person....someone will have a light bulb go off as different persons on the same subject offer different insights and angles....and that is a great thing.
I like you used the 'J' term also....been stressing that as well, but you did a great job of showing what NOT to do as well. I show a photo on the Form Clock thread that really shows the 'wrist cock' as a no no.
Some folks claim you can't learn to shoot from an internet forum....we'll if anyone pays any attention here, that claim is false. Way too many folks have learned to improve here for that claim to be legit.
:campfire:
