Snapshooting, and a canted bow..a nice bow nonetheless, no expansion, hunching over.
-
Slow down my shot process, straighten my bow and posture, and expansion, I have been reading and trying to understand the expansion thing but it's not sinking in (thick in the head I would guess)I may have to get someone that can coach me along on that one, at least my bow has it together!!!
Thanks for the pointers!!! Any others out there?

Your head looks to be a little forward to meet your string. You shooting eye should bee over the center of you torso. Kind of short drawing. The hunching over and canting caused me to do that quite a bit as well. Look at Terry's form clock at the top of the page.
Good luck

I watched both videos and it looks to me like you drop your head in the second in anticipation of the draw. I was taught to try and keep the head level and bring the bow to you. Second I think you start draw with your back but do not finish and instead recruit your arms to finish. But a good starting pint.

Thanks guys, I'll try and work on this stuff as time allows, I'm closeing on a new house next week and I have a lot of work to do but I'll try and get some practice in when I can.

kinda answered my question of why your backstop looks like a house.....lol...I thought you just wanted to add a "little pressure".

You're not "snap shooting" at all and there is absolutely nothing wrong with canting your bow!
You could use a little extension..as in not hunching forward and getting your elbow back, which will also get you into better alignment. But overall not too bad.
How's your shooting?

For me it's not horrible but it's not near what some of these other guys are capable of. I shoot a lot of compound open class that I do well at, but I enjoy the recurve a lot and would like to be able to hit what I'm shooting at. I killed a small buck at McAAP a few years back and that is one of the most memorable deer I have taken because it was with a recurve. I just feel I owe it to the animal to be as good a shot as I can be before I crawl back into a stand with a recurve and try and harvest another animal. And at the same time I believe I owe it to myself to have the confidence to know if mister big steps out I can make the shot!!!

uhm..the 1st thing that caught my eye was the exposed propane tank just a few feet to the left of your target..the 2nd thing that caught my eye was..i dunno about your first arrow?..but your 2nd arrow was on the string backwards..i.e. cockfeather towards the riser..and i don't wanna tell ya what i thought the 3rd thing i was gonna see was...thank god i didn't. LOL!

If I miss 6ft to the right at 15y I need to hang it up anyway, and as far as I know it not any problem shooting cock feather in if your arrows are spines properly and you are getting go clearance, you can even shoot plastic vanes without contact. Thanks for the concern!!!

Here's some others talking about it, Im not wanting to start an argument on this thread just wanted to see if anyone saw something's I could work on, I appreciate you takeing the time to view and add your advise, I have tried it both was and when shooting my Hoyt Gamemaster 2 I always got my best arrow flight cock feather in so that's how I am use to shooting.

I see nothing wrong here. Look in the archives at HH or others shooting. You're in line IMO.
