Comments on form? I haven't shot a bow in a long time.... I love constructive criticism :)

Looks pretty good, how is it working for you ?, where the arrows hit and where your aiming at tells a lot.

Cool partner. Welcome back. Having fun you're doing it right. You shoot pretty straight up w/very little cant. Plenty of folks do.
-
I seem to shot to the left of where I am aiming, but this is with some cheapo aluminum Easton 2117's with vanes. I got impatient waiting for my gold tip's to get here... My arrow's are always within an 8" group at about 20 yds, I know I still need lots of practice. I was just looking for some input so I don't develop bad habits :)

Cheapest 2117's made will fly like darts out of the right setup. How about some bow info & personal draw specs? History? That is, have you been shooting compounds? Usually straight up shooters are target killers or recently exed cmpd shooters.
What I can PROMISE is you;re in the right place to learn about HUNTING with your trad bows. That will include shooting help (the archives is choked full of monster info). And, me & my TG brothers are always willing to help anyone who wants to help themselves. Best luck renewb.

I have never shot a compound bow, the last time I shot an arrow out of a bow was in junior high with an all fiberglass #15 bow. My bow is #52 at 28" and 62" ntn. I guess you could call it a hybrid longbow or a reflex deflex.
It's one of those things where you wake up one day and say "hey, I think I want to build a bow" , so you do. I guess you can call me a straight up newb :) and as for shooting canted, I have never tried it.
Practice makes perfect right?

All good. My personal favorite trad bow shot alive today is Byron Ferguson. You might try reading his book "Become the Arrow". Plenty of others.
Howard Hill said to make up your mind whether you want to hunt or target shoot. One doesn't necessarily compliment the other. Whatever your choice have fun & you're doing it right .

Well I think I'm going to just target shoot for the time being, but bow fishing looks interesting.
I will be making a bow for my wife so we can turn this into a family hobby. I need to be able to shoot correctly to be able to teach her and my daughter. I'll just keep looking online and watching videos to better my form/technique.
