Been having trouble the last few weeks of getting my bow arm down when getting to full draw.i shoot split finger and when draw back i hold my bow arm a little high and have always been able to hit full draw and hold it as i lower my bow arm and settle in for the shot. Here lately im when i hit full draw i cant seem to make my bow arm come down before i release and im shooting a foot over everything. When i try to draw with bow arm pointed right at my spot i cant seem to ever hit full anchor before releasing arrow. Im sure this is a form of target panic but need your guys help on what i should do. Ive dropped back from a 50#longbow to a 41# longbow thinking it would help but im still not able to hold it til i get settled in.
Thanks for any pointers.

Go to 10 yards or less and spend a week working on only form.
Eyes closed to avoid distractions, that is why you want to be close to the target. Keep equal pressure on all points of your string hand. Concentrate on your bow hand to see that it is consistently at a 45 degree angle and always at a comfortable consistent position.
