Title: Howard Hill style of Shooting
Post by: ChiefStingingArrow on July 23, 2012, 11:10:00 AM
I have run across some info that Howard Hill has written on how to shoot the bow in pamphlet format...I have read his brief description in Hunting the Hard Way. I am fascinated with his method of shooting and was wondering if anybody knows were I could get a hold of those little booklets.  Thanks

Might want to look at "hunting them like Howard Hill by john schulz or "american semi-longbow" by David Miller.  the book Hunting the hard way covers it pretty well.  Also, check out the howard Hill bug thread alot of great information

You might want to contact Bob Wesley from Whispering Pines archery school in NC.  He learned from Howard Hill and cab show you a lot in two days of one on one instruction.

There is a DVD called "Hitten em like Howard Hill" by John Schultz and he shows you the Hill swing draw, but watching old films (like Terry was showing) is good to follow too.  Be careful starting off with a swing draw, because if you are over-bowed at all you could injure your shoulder (bow arm).
