Outside today doing my daily shooting and thought i would take the time to set up my video camera to check out my form...after a while i notice that i was starting to move arrows left and right and figured it was my back tension.
After looking at the footage, I noticed that after awhile i was cheating with my head and was tilting it foward changing my site picture.
Went back out and focused on my head position and accurracy was great...maybe the staright head position keeps the eye over the arrow, i don't know but sure helped me.
Just wondering if anyone else ever noticed this in their shooting and if anyone tried videoing their self? Used to do it alot when i coached baseball.

George,
YES! Hold your head still and bring the string to you not the other way around.
Video is a great instructional aid. Look into the "Coach's Eye" app for Ipad and smart phones. A nearly perfect video analysis tool.

I went to Rick Welch's school. I always hav had a tendency to miss high right (I m a lefty). Well he showed me that I would lift my head to the right or peek and it would cause the high right shots. When I focus on keeping my head in there I am deadly. We also used a camera and he showed me how even the slightest head bob would take my shots to the right.

yeah I have notieced that I do it too....When I go out to shoot I am going to make sure that I dont do it. thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for the reminder. No matter how many years I shoot, at times I seem to start moving my head without being aware of it.

One of my big problems too - things start spraying left and right if I take the anchor to the string. When I remember to take the string to the anchor it comes good again.

There's a saying in shotgunning - "wood to wood", or keep your head on the stock. Lift your head to watch the bird break and it won't.
Wonder if that's what I'm doing once in a while when I get those high, right shots (shooting lefty)?
Sure something to pay closer attention to in my practice!
