I shoot regularly with friends 4 times a week, about 75 arrows per session.  The other three days I shoot occasionally, usually in my backyard with just me and my dog, usually less than a dozen arrows.  As I pull my arrow out of the target, I usually feel a bumping against the back of my legs, which is her way of telling me I should be throwing her frisbee for her instead of shooting arrows.

I shoot 4-5 times a week.  35 to 50 shots every time.  I would like to shoot more, but summer heat just drains me (I work outside), so I am conscious of being tired and less than full strength by the time I get home.  I always stop when I feel the energy waning, so I don't get into bad habits due to fatigue.

This is a good post for new shooters I thought, how do you know if you over do it.

I try to shoot my bow 4-6 days a week.  I don't count how many arrows I shoot, but its more than fingers and toes, so I rarely keep track.  I just shoot until I need to do something (such as mow, dog walk, cook) or I feel like I'm getting tired.

How do you know?  Really a personal judgement for every one, I suppose.  But, I used to play a lot of golf - actually, hit a lot of shag balls.  I know the ill-effects of trying to do too much, and getting fatigued.  Does more harm than good.  My reasoning is that there must be a parallel between the two, so I stop 10 shots too soon, rather than 1 shot too many.
