Title: Fixed crawl tuning

After watching The Push I also decided to try the fixed crawl. Arrows are flying straight, but I can't stop them from flying nock low. I have raised the nock probably a 1/4" with no luck. My question is how much do you normally have to raise your nocking point? Any help welcomed!

Where is your current nock set? What kind of bow are you shooting?  What is the current tiller?  What weight, arrow spine, draw length and tip weight?

Current nock set is at 7/8", shooting 3 under. Shooting a Tall Tines recurve 60" & 44@28 with a 30" draw, shooting a 30.5" 2216 with 200 up front.

I don't know what's going on. If your bow riser is cut to center, I would make a couple suggestions.

1) Start with your nocking point at 3/8" above center. (If you need to go up, move it in 1/8" increments)

2) Your arrows may be a tad weak.  You might reduce your tip weight to 150 grains.

I was playing around with my setup yesterday and realized I measured my arrow wrong. They are 31 1/4" so I cut one down to 30" and I'm going to play with that and see if it helps.

I don't know if your trying it off the shelf, but that's the way I shot when I used a fixed crawl and it makes tuning more difficult.  The consensus among crawlers is it's naturally going to impart some downward force on  that arrow and an elevated rest with some "give" simplifies things.  The springy is a favorite.

I started using a fixed crawl after watching the push and it has improved my accuracy immensely. I have my fixed crawl set at 20 yards were as in the video I believe he set his at 25 yards.  My nock height went from 3/4" above the rug rest to 1/2" above the rug rest. I have a second nock under the arrow nock so it won't slide down the string. My crawl nock is set at 1" below the rug rest. This set up is with a 45# Rick Welch recurve and I got it to bare shaft pretty good.

Need a little more help. I have got my bare shafts and fletched arrows grouping together. The fletched arrows are flying strait but the bare shafts are still flying nock low. I have tried my nock height from 3/8" to 7/8" and still have nock low. Any suggestions?

Don't worry about it.  If they're grouping with arrows, you're probably okay.  The way to find out for sure it to back up a few yards and check it again. As long as the bare shafts and arrows group together, there's nothing more to do.
