Title: Double anchor tradgang video
Post by: nhbuck1 on July 22, 2016, 02:30:00 PM
i have been doing what terry green has demonstrated in the tradgang video with dragging knuckle across face and thumb under earlobe in jaw pocket, this is causing a great release and can really feel the back tension although my arrows are flying higher then i want impact, is this due to a longer draw length and getting more velocity out of the arrow?

Smarter guys than me will chirp in in sure but the same thing happened to me. I think I was drawing farther so my arrow was faster. Also I think my bow arm continued up a second longer while I was hitting the second anchor. I just keep my bow arm rock solid or I try to.

If you changed your anchor point and are getting a cleaner release impact will change. Just keep shooting and let your eye/mind learn.

The benefit of those 2 points comes from the fact that your arrow hand is parallel with your face. It's body mechanics. Palm parallel with your face = forearm is parallel with your body = relaxing the fingers to get the release it can be done just by using the back muscles. It impacts higher just because your arrow went cleaner from the bow and your body followed the trend imposed by hand/head - good posture. The body is adjusting himself without necessary noticing, looking always for equilibrium if some key elements are leading.
Any body correction toward the proper release will change the placement of the arrows.

You are acquiring the 'Magic T'....proper alignment and back tension.

And yes, you are coming to full extension and you draw is most likely longer.
