Post by: OH at work on October 22, 2003, 03:12:00 PM
My wife just called me and is fixing some venison stew and cornbread for supper.    :bigsmyl:    The mouth is starting to salivate big time---anyone else looking forward to something good to eat at the end of the day?

Hey Joe...big pot of venison chilli simmering on the stove as we speak.  The down side..the wife invited both the kids over for dinner..no chance for leftovers.  The up side...venison steaks marinading in the fridge for Friday's dinner.  yummy yum  :bigsmyl:

Mike, any special recipe you use for the elk lasagna.  Sounds pretty good and I've got some elk meat that needs thawing out    :bigsmyl:

I just got done eatin', and had venison backstrap sliced thin and fried with lots of butter, onions and mushrooms and 4 buttermilk biscuits. I was supposed to have fresh peach pie for dessert but the damn dogs got to it and ate all the crust, left the peaches and a mess. A word to the wise, if you have a ST. Bernard you have to put stuff up really oyut of the way or else! Shawn

Funny you should ask... :)   I just came home to a wonderful-smelling house.  I put a buck fox squirrel into the crockpot with some stew/roast fixin's, and man, does it smell good.  Cornbread sounds good....
