Title: Grandma Vold's Venison Marinate
Post by: mike hall on February 09, 2005, 04:29:00 PM
I've been using this recipe for years on my deer steaks and thought some of you might enjoy it as well.
One of my old hunting buddy's got this recipe from his Grandmother.

1/2 C. soy sauce
1/4 C. vegetable oil
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. accent
2 Tbsp brown sugar
3 fresh chopped garlic cloves

couple lbs. of venison steaks

place all ingredients in large zip lock and shake
add your favorite cuts of venison and let marinate for a couple hrs. kneading occasionally

Best if cooked over a charcoal grill (Webber) or open fire. Is a gas grill traditional?  :p
It's a bit sweet so enjoy it with a fine Stout (I prefer Bell's Kalamazoo     not too cold) and for you hoity toidy's Merlot or Chianti
