Title: fort Stewart questions-
Post by: ky_longbow on March 22, 2006, 09:31:00 PM
i know about the 40.00 hunting permit- and i know you are required to have a Georgia hunting license-is this a small game license or a regular hunting license?
i thought i would throw this out here before digging through the Georgia Dept of fish and wildlife website..........

after checking the Georgia DNR website here is what ive found out- big game in Georgia are deer turkey and bear- it did not mention feral hogs-
so im thinking one would need a non res. hunting license-($75.00) and no big game license-
is Fort Stewart considered a WMA? is a WMA  license required?
looks like i have a few phone calls to make to the great state of Georgia........

No WMA for ft stewart. No big game license. You must have a valid hunter safety ed. card.

Doug,

I think they have a five-day or similar small game license for around $40.

the 40.00 pass is a yearly pass -12 months from the date of purchase-----
40.00 beats 15.00 a day- heck may wanna make a couple of trips a year-
its 10 hours from here-not a bad drive if one gets into pork !!!!
at least the above info is what i figured out- but hey ive been wrong before-
