Hey guys,
I am just getting back into shooting/hunting after an extended layoff and really want to do some stalking or stand hunting (no dogs)for the trophy boars. I have looked online and ran across several guide services, but am not sure which one is best. I am looking around the TN, SC or GA areas. I figure from what I have read at this site already that I am in THE right place to be askin' this question though. So, any suggestions? :D Thanks for any info.

I grew up hunting Sus Scrofa is North East Mississippi, and in my opinion, Texas has the best numbers. Can't speak for anywhere else. South Texas (San Antonio area) has lots of pigs with affordable guides.

The hill country in Texas has a bunch of hogs. We have a few here in N.C. but I don't think we win the prize for having the biggest or most. If what I am reading is even close to correct I think Georgia takes first place for the biggest.

Cool! I had heard TN had some big ones, but from what I gathered, a lot of those guides like to hunt with dogs. I just want to stalk or still/stand hunt. Thanks for the info though. I will definitely be adding GA to the list.

Oh, I would like to go to TX sometime too, but it's a bit farther than I want to travel right now.

Yeah we have a LOT of big hogs in South Ga.
I have hunted and killed quite a few but they were all taken ith a rifle. This will be my first year with a bow. I hunt private land. So I wouldnt be much help as to where to go. From what I have seen on here you might want to ask Ray Hammond
