Title: Anyone bowhunt Alaskan brown bears?
Post by: MikeNova on March 25, 2013, 01:53:00 PM
I saw a couple mounted at the SC sportsmans classic 1500lbs and 1600lbs. Wow I bet that would be a fun stalk with a field tipped arrow and no gun backup lol!

Bert Frelink has a pic of his longbow killed Kodiak on his quartermoonbows website...I mentioned once to him that as Kodiaks go it is not a particularly large bear...he replied that at seven yards it was plenty big enough...and the smaller bears are likely a lot quicker than the bigger ones

Hopefully you would use a Broadhead instead of a field tip. Jus sayin!
