Title: Can Anyone Identify?

Encountered an older longbow here in Aussie that I'm not familiar with.  Can anyone identify, or does anyone have any information about the bow or maker?    :help:  

This longbow is a laminated bow, and is only marked: "Syphony", and "Harp" (Harp being followed by the number "9" inscribed on a colored circlar 'dot'), and "Special Delux".

The bow 65# at 28".  It's owner (who is hunting with it) bought it at a garage sale for $10.00, and has no other information on it.  He's trying to find out who it was made by, and about when and where.  Though I'd ask the collective knowledge base of the 'Trad gang'!

Don't run into too many that I haven't at least heard of, but I'm stumped on this one!    :confused:  

I'm away for the weekend, but I'll check Monday to see it anyone out there has the 'lamp of knowledge' on this bow.    :D

I now have a possible lead.  Have been told the bow was probably made by a bowyer named Keith Herron in the 1950's.  My source could not identify the bow positively, but had owner a very similar bow, also marked as a "Symphony" (but not with the "Harp, number, or 'Special Delux"), made by this bowyer about in about 1950.  Anyone have any other info on Keith Herron?

2Knives, Finding out about the many different finds of old and unique archery items is half the fun of collecting. No body wants answers more than the owner, but answers are often hard to come by. Doc is searching for info on his old longbow, I am searching for info on my old Howard Hill and it's probable connection with Viking Archery in San Franciso. I can't speak for Doc, but if I ever find what I am looking for, you will probably hear me hollering from some roof top. We all solicit help from sights such as this, in hopes someone has some little bit of info to share. If we keep looking long and hard enough, some day we will find what we search for.
