Title: Red Wing by Wing Archery
Post by: WingNuts on October 08, 2003, 05:51:00 PM
Hi All--
Does anyone out there have a Red Wing bow. These were popular in about 1957 or so. Not to be confused with the Red Wing Custom or Red Wing Hunter. Just the Red Wing!  Lets Talk. Thanks for looking at this thread.

My Dad gave me a Wing Recurve when I was very young.  I even have the original string. The markings on the bow are 64" G7-1017 35#
Can you tell me anything about this bow? Year it was made,  what kind of wood etc. On the shelf, there is a label with the Markings Wing Archery, it actually doesn't say Red on it anywhere, unless it faded off.

That's the Gull model, it was made in 1967.

Hi Bob, can't say I've ever seen one that just says Red Wing other than the Red Wing TD that was made in Korea after Wing AMF closed the doors and sold off via Auction.

Do you have a picture of it and the writing-serial number, etc?
