Hi Gang,
My name is aaron and I am new to this forum. I just bought a red wing hunter on ebay and was hoping someone could tell me a little about it. The bow is 58" 49# and the sieral # is rw-8601. The limbs have red wing hunter and wing archery on them and there are two small holes on the riser that have been filled in. Any additional info would be great.
thank aaron

Sounds like you have one of the original BOB LEE WING ARCHERY bows. Favored amoung collectors. THe other two editions would have either AMF, or DIV of HEAD SKI CO in the WING LOGO.
The Red Wing Hunter was one of the best, most popular hunting bows made in the '60's. As far as I know they were all made with a deep chocolate colored glass. The riser woods varied but most were exotic woods. Rosewood, Bubinga, Shedua. etc.
The guy that could have told you the most about WING BOWS was WINGNUTS on the forum, but he passed away about 6 months ago. The TRAD community lost a wealth of knowledge about WING bows with his passing.
You have a good bow - enjoy it!
