Title: limb glass cracks on SK, safe?
Post by: hs6181 on July 03, 2005, 04:54:00 PM
I'm familiar stress cracks but this is different. They run from side to side of the limb. Seems like the glass or limb could break at one of those points. The bow is on ebay now and since I recently got rid of my SK    :knothead:   I was thinking about getting another, should I pass on this one?

I wouldn't be afraid of it, but I've never had a problem. These look to be finish cracks in the stress area of the limb. I'm not an expert, but have several bows with these that I regularly shoot. Looks like a good candidate for the Bowdoc. CKruse

Thanks for the info ckruse. I had heard some where before that side to side cracks were bad. I'll keep an eye on the auction but right now it looks like it may end up to rich for me.
