my friend just gave me a Stream eze model # 40 bow that he was going to throw away. I am trying to find how old the bow is (estimated. And how much the bow is worth. I don't really want it but it is better than in the trash. thanks

JMAN - Stream-Eze (fishing rod company) made several models of a sleeve Takedown. I have a few of them. Circular glass limbs like a fishing rod. Some have wooden handles with thumb grip, some are straight. Some had plastic horn nocks. The ones I have were new still in the fishing rod type cloth sock. Surprising shooters. Don't follow them, but noticed some over the years at auction. Seemed hard to the sellers to get $20. If you have an unusual or uniqe one, it may bring a lot more.
Steam Eze also sold fiberglass arrows for bowfishing and for target shooting. I have both with the Steam-Eze water transfer decals. They also package strings with the company name on the package.

Jeremy, Wade, I have a stream eze that I bought from Joe St.Charles at the GLLI back ia Marshall Mi. in the early 90's. It has the plastic horn nocks green glass and a metal tube takedown handle, 50lbs. Good little shooter. Joe had a bunch of them up to 60lbs. My son is thinking about huntin with it this year. Hold on to it for a youngster to shoot, it is neat. Wish I could post a pic! Oh Wade would you sell one of those strings they made? Good shootin, Steve

Steve - I bought a 62# Steam-Eze from Jay back in the early 90's.
I was very surprised at how well it shot - I would have expected more hand shock. It served me as a very durable bow for bowfishing for many years - just sold it last year and I kind of miss her. Hard to not like a bow that shoots decent and can take a beating and come away looking as good as new!
I sold mine for $90 - but the higher draw weight, perfect condition including mint case/sock may have been part of it.
