Well, if this is the same boys from Indiana, who made selfbows, No  :D

I haven't seen either since the early 90s at Cloverdale, traditional nationals.

Awesome craftsmen, Grummley style static curves, and the handle wraps with various knots, learned from their Father.

Hope their doing well!

Have any pics, Jim?

Might ask over on the bowyers bench.

If you mean John Brooks,I talked to him last week.
He is well, and still building Grummley style bows.

Well heres the deal, I have been put in charge of selling John Grumley,s personal bows, many of them from the Brook,s Brothers, awsome collection, John was a friend of mine for over 30 years and his son asked if I would sell rhem for him. To be fair I will sell them one at a time on **** since I dont know their true value.
I will try to post some pics soon.

Jim -

I am the fellow who purchased John Grumley's collection of original 1930s to 1950s vintage bows to add to my personal collection of original Grumley bows. I passed on all of John's replica bows as my bow collecting interest pretty well ends at 1971 which is about the date of the end of the era of the Golden Days of Archery.

John thought an awful lot of those Brooks bows. But to my eye, no modern made bow could ever equal the style and craftsmanship of an original Nels Grumley bow. Nels was and still is truly the Michelangelo of Bowyers.

I would suggest that you might want to contact the Brooks Brothers to see if they would be interested in the bows. Those bows may have some very special meaning to them.

Let me know if I can help you with any information in any way.
