I just measured my 62" Monterey which is the same bow but fancier and it took a 56 1/2-57" string to give an 8" brace height. Seems not right but that's what I got.

I'd use 60-65# spine for 29" arrows with 125 gr points.

I have a 1968 Hunter that is marked 62" but takes a 56.5" string. The 62" was before AMO. Using correct measurements the bow is 61" AMO.

Some folks will tell you to only use dacron but I use fastflight with padded loops on all my vintage bows that have a tip overlay.  I have a 1962 Hunter that did not have tip overlays so I put them on.
