Anyone know how many Black Widow Crown Jewels they made? I finally got my mitts on one but it is a bit heavy for me. 63 pounds at 32 inches. It pulls around 53 pounds at 28 on my scale.I have been looking to trade for someone who might have a lighter one around 45 pounds at 28 inches but it may be there just aren't that many out there. I was just curious how many they made of these Diamond Anniversary models.

Beautiful bow! I am of no use to you on the history of how many were made. Thank you for sharing pictures

Jwingman:
Without looking thru the records I believe it was 166 and included a couple that they replaced that broke.
64"-51 made 6 LH
62"-80 made 13LH
60"-35 made 3 LH
Hope this helps.Good luck on your search for a lighter weight.
Regards,Ray

Thanks Ray. I had one just like it that i bought in 1987. It was #25. I converted to left handed a number of years ago and sold it a couple of years ago. I now have a left handed CJ #12. It has the crinkle finish. thinking about sending it to BW for a weight reduction and refinish. Jim

Jimscol:
I know your bow well.I had it in my collection for a good while. It's a good one to have as only three 60" left hand ones were made.At one time I had 23 CJ's in my collection but have since pass them all along for others to enjoy.
My suggestion to you, if your bow isn't going to be your primary bow save your money on the refinish and weight reduction,it's worth more original.
