Title: Prototype broadhead
Post by: BenBow on June 08, 2015, 06:26:00 PM
Any idea if this has any value? It was given to me after I gave someone a gift.

Very interesting note. I had no idea that there were so few of these made. Mine may be a later run    :dunno:

I also have one that is brazed, they are the same size. I wonder if he would know anything about this one?

Unfortunately I never kept track of the gentleman that gave it to me. Might be able to check with Arvid and find out more.

They were the first ones produced for public sale. Most collectors have one in their collection and in their trader box

Ben, I have the arrows that those heads were on. The gentleman told me that he gave the heads out to collectors, and was going to look for one for me. This is the first time I have seen one. The arrows are a matched set of 2117 Swaged 26" Camo Magnums. I can look through my E mail and find the senders name.

Hi guys, just got a heads up from Shane about this post, that is my note and one of the early prototype heads that Arvid designed he called them Bodkin and only a few dozen were stamped like that maybe less than 10 dozen at most, then we got a box of 10,000 heads that were brazed and a cleaner look i put the first edge on all 10,000 took me a week, the original heads were sold at $6 each in 1994,not sure of the value today,i had two dozen and gave them to collectors or to guys i traded bows with,i have two left .Shane gets one.

I have a head like this from Arvid Danielson . He sent it to me back in the early nineties when I built him some strings.

The ferrule on mine is diamond shape.

I should mount it
