I went to a big flea market today in Central New York. Found an old Bear recurve. Bear Alaskan on the front upper limb, Bear logo Grayling and Pat. numbers on lower belly. One piece wood riser with a creamy yellow glass front and back. No limb tips, just glass all the way. Flat silver coin. serial # KF16910 AMO 62" 45#. Looks to be all original......it has some kind of semi clear brown finish that seems to come off easy all over it. Maybe to dull it up for hunting. Can anyone tell if I got something cool or did I waste my 45$. Thanks ron w

must be a 1970, last year for the Alaskan. Catalog says imbuia wood riser, and random glass colors. Cool indeed for $45, enjoy.

Started to clean the old girl up.....so far no stress and with a new B-50 on no limb twist.

Pics, pics, pics!
$45 for a nice shootable Bear, wow. At twice the price you still did good.
Looking forward to seeing her when she's all cleaned up!

Sounds like a 1970 to me, too.
